Rachel Maddow gave her long-awaited speech to graduates of Smith College this weekend (students went demonstrably wild when she was announced as speaker in February).
Mass Live reports on the speech:
Maddow spoke for less than 20 minutes, but in baseball terms, touched all the required bases. She talked to the graduates about their future, the importance of higher education, both inside the classroom and in the real world.
Rachel was well received and as commencement speeches go was a perfect blend of knowing what to say, and knowing when to say when.
What do you think of the speech?
