Windward, the sweeping Lake Michigan estate that was once home to Charles Percy, a former U.S. Senator and one-time president of Bell + Howell, was demolished over several weeks in April and early May.

Over the years, the Kenilworth mansion was the scene of many social and political events. But it was the murder of Percy's daughter on Sept. 18, 1966, which gave the home its most notoriety.
