Gary Pfleider Shot In Iraq, Billed For Treatment By Army

UPDATE: A spokesman for Defense Finance and Accounting Services told Pfleider on Wednesday that he had been overpaid for his last three months in the National Guard, and is now requesting this money back.

Pfleider flew back to the states and recuperated at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, where he was awarded the Purple Heart. One-third of the muscle in his leg is gone and he'll have to wear a brace for the rest of his life.
