Spirit Airlines GROUNDED Until At Least Thursday (POLL)

When Spirit Airlines pilots walked out on the job on Saturday, it created a windfall for the airline: poor customer service and prohibitively expensive last-minute flights on competing airlines has created a public relations disaster for the company.

Fast forward four days, and the stand-off has yet to get better: the airline has canceled flights through Thursday, leaving passengers scrambling for car rentals or paying extraordinary amounts of seats on other airlines. Spirit only counts for 1 percent of domestic air travel, but it has grounded its nearly 16,000 daily passengers. Mediators and members of the pilot union are meeting today in hopes of banging out a deal.
