Harry Potter Plane Debuted By AirTran

The wizarding world has come alive thanks to AirTran Airways: The Orlando-based airline debuted their new "Harry Potter 1" plane today as part of their promotion with Universal Orlando's new Harry Potter theme park that is set to open there tomorrow.

This isn't the first themed aircraft for the airline, however; they also have the logos of the Indianapolis Colts and the Milwaukee Brewers, as well as images of Elton John and Danica Patrick.

Harry Potter is tame in comparison to the choices of some other airlines: Southwest had a Shamu-inspired plane (the beak was the nose); Alaska Airlines had a giant picture of a wild Alaskan salmon along one of their planes; and the entire fleet of Frontier Airlines has images of animals on its tail.
