The Standard Hotel, one of New York's (and Andre Balazs' for that matter) It-places, opens its new rooftop bar overlooking the Hudson River tomorrow.
The hotel, situated nicely near the High Line and all the shopping that the Meatpacking District has to offer, already has a following for its biergarten on street level.
The new alfresco terrace has astro turf and pink chairs and looks a little dated (purposely or not, we're not quite sure). Hotel rooftop bars are all over Manhattan--will this one gain a following? We'll find out this weekend.
