Sullivan's Island Noise Ban: South Carolina Town Outlaws Public Singing, Whistling (VIDEO)

Sullivan's Island, the sleepy beach community off of Charleston, South Carolina, has banned singing, whistling, or any type of musical note, in public, according to CNN.

The town, which is on a barrier island just north of Charleston Harbor, has a population of about 2,000, which inflates to roughly 5,000 during summer weekends when tourists and locals alike mingle on the beach.

If you're caught singing, perhaps, Lady Gaga or even Showboat, you face a fine of a whopping $500. Guess they're taking their need for quiet seriously.
