Tommy Mottola, the co-owner of Casablanca Records and former chairman and chief executive of Sony Music Entertainment, recently listed his 324-acre Colorado ranch for $27.5 million.
Mottola, Mariah Carey's ex-husband, has worked with influential musicians including Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel. He has been at the center of several controversies including one in 2002 when Michael Jackson called him "a devil" and publicly accused him of conspiring against black artists.
Mottola and his wife, Mexican pop star Thalia, initially purchased his Wildcat Ranch estate for $14.7 million in 2003. The property boasts a five-bedroom main home, two guesthouses, and features pioneer style log construction. The home embodies a lavish rustic Western motif and is located in a luxury development that was partially constructed by actor Michael Douglas.
