Between late-night study sessions and no more home-cooked meals, college students heading back to campus will most likely have a harder time eating healthy.
Daphne Oz, the daughter of celebrity TV doc, Dr. Oz, offers advice on how to how to keep your weight under control in her new book, "The Dorm Room Diet." By being mindful of her eating habits, Oz herself not only avoided the dreaded "freshman 15," but even lost weight.
"A lot of it was just being aware of what was going into my mouth," she told ABC news. "So many times we just sort of scavenge along and eat things thinking, if we don't chew it doesn't count, calorie-wise."
College danger zones like late-night study sessions, parties, tailgating and watching TV can make it even easier to eat while distracted, or as a social lubricant, said Oz.
