Along with Second Lady Jill Biden -- who announced the first-annual White House Summit on Community Colleges today -- Washington Monthly is one a few sources to seriously consider the worth of community colleges.
Last month, the Monthly drew information from the Community College Survey of Student Engagement and other sources to rank 50 of America's community colleges. Of the 650 two-year institutions considered, the schools that ranked were those deemed most satisfactory in areas of "Active and Collaborative Learning," "Student Effort," "Academic Challenge," "Student-Faculty Interaction" and "Support for Learners," all of which were found to contribute to student success.
Check out some of these schools below. Did yours make the cut? Share your thoughts.
