Is New Vegas Hotel Too Hot?

Vdara Hotel's 'Death Ray' Causes A Stir

The sleek new Vdara Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip may be too hot to handle.

So hot, that if you're at the hotel's swimming pool, an occasional reflection off the shining tower may singe your hair or melt your plastic drinking cup, reports the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The south-facing tower at the CityCenter hotel is a "collector and bouncer of sun rays" the newspaper says. So much so that hotel employees have dubbed the phenomenon the "Vdara death ray."
