Actor Edward James Olmos Hosts Panel at Free Screening of "Cesar's Last Fast"

Who: Academy Award-nominated actor Edward James Olmos and documentarians Richard Ray Perez and Molly O'Brien.

What: The Sundance Institute and The Hammer Museum present a screening of Richard Ray Perez and Molly O'Brien's work-in-progress documentary, Cesar's Last Fast. The film will be followed by a panel discussion hosted by actor Edward James Olmos.

When: Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 7 PM.

Where: The Hammer Museum, 10899 Wilshire Blvd., Westwood, Los Angeles, CA 90024.

How: Admission is free though tickets are required and are available at the Hammer Museum's Billy Wilder Theater Box Office one hour prior to start time. $3 Parking is available under the museum 6:00 p.m.

Why: This event gives people access to never-before-seen footage of Cesar Chavez, an inspirational civil rights activist famous for campaigning for the rights of farm workers. It also offers guests the opportunity to discuss the film with its creators as well as with Chavez' son Paul Chavez, and Dr. Mario Garcia, author of The Gospel of Cesar Chavez.
