WHO: Yoko Ono
WHAT: Das Gift
WHEN: 10 September - 13 November 2010
WHERE: Haunch of Venison Berlin
WHY: Through the use of sculpture, sound, film, and instruction-based participatory elements, Yoko Ono has created a series of works that deal with the themes of violence, healing, transformation, love, and question the inherent dichotomy between the personal and the global. At the center of this show, stands A HOLE, a powerful sculpture made with a pane of glass that has been pierced by a bullet. The sculpture has instructions engraved on it, encouraging the viewer to move and experience the piece through two different perspectives- both as the aggressor and the victim.
