MLB Outfielder Offers Free Food To Military For Veterans Day

In honor of Veterans Day, Milwaukee Brewers left fielder Ryan Braun said he is offering free entrees from his restaurant to current and former U.S. military soldiers, according to Adam McCalvy's Brew Beat.

Ryan Braun's Tavern and Grill, the slugger's restaurant in Lake Geneva, Wis., will reportedly serve both lunch and dinner for free.

"We've been brainstorming different ways of giving back to the community and people who deserve to be given back to. Our armed forces are definitely at the top of that list," Braun told McCalvy. "Those men and women are extremely important. All of us have a friend of family member who has served, who has represented our country. For Veterans Day, I'm really proud to be able to do this."

According to the report, Braun explained that his best friend is a Navy Seal and this is something "very near and dear to my heart."

Braun also said that he wanted to do something to say thanks to the military.
