PHOTOS: 1930 Art Deco Home In Santa Monica For $12.45 Million

Via Curbed LA: Irish-American Cedric Gibbons worked on over 1,000 films as art director (incuding The Wizard of Oz and Singin' In The Rain) designed the iconic Oscar Award statuette, and even had time to create his own art deco home in Santa Monica for his then-wife Dolores Del Rio in 1930. According to IMDB (Internet Movie Database), silent film star Del Rio was "the first Mexican movie star with international appeal." Their marriage lasted from 1930-1941.

The $12.45 million home has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a pool, tennis court, and a separate guest house.
