Bret Baier has signed a new, multi-year deal with Fox News that will see him continue as anchor of "Special Report," the network announced Wednesday.
As usual, the terms of the deal were not disclosed. In a statement, Michael Clemente, senior vice president for news at the network, said that Baier's "integrity and hard-nosed approach to journalism has made him a go-to source for political news coverage. We look forward to his strong presence on the network for years to come."
The signing is only the latest in a string of recent deals Fox News has made to lock down its talent. The network has re-signed Shepard Smith, Laura Ingraham and Greta Van Susteren in the past six months -- and, of course, gave Juan Williams a three-year deal after his firing from NPR.
