Keith Olbermann announced the lifting of his self-imposed exile from Twitter on Sunday, after three days away from the site.
On Thursday, Olbermann said that he would suspend his use of the account after coming under heated criticism on the site for his handling of the rape allegations surrounding WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. He said he would wait until the "frenzy" of criticism had stopped to resume tweeting.
By Sunday, he apparently felt that the "frenzy had ended," and he announced his return from the Twitter hinterlands:
And we're back. Tweeting will resume tomorrow. Good night and... etc. (Avatar dates to 1971 at Yankee Stadium)
