Real Housewives Finale Reveals Grammer Marriage Breakdown

On last night's season finale of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Camille Grammer shed more light on her split from husband of 13 years, Kelsey Grammer, which was announced late last year but has only recently come to light on the show.

In the drama-filled episode, Grammer shared her candid feelings about the split as the action unfolded over a tension-laced scene during which she accompanies Kelsey to the Tony Awards.

"It's almost like the death of a relative or a loved one...this profound loss, its an intense feeling of loneliness," says Camille in a voice-over that runs during the scene. "It's a much different scenario when you're married to a celebrity," she continues, "because when you get divorced its not a private divorce, the world knows. I thought this would be a good positive thing for him, to go do a play on Broadway, but I never thought that he would leave me."

In another scene, a visibly despondent Camille talks to a friend about the split:

"When I got to our apartment building, the doorman looked at me and asked me who I was...I said 'I'm Mrs. Grammer.' He said, 'No, you're not.' I said, 'Excuse me, I'm Kelsey Grammer's wife...' So I had to show my I.D. How mortifying is that. Because somebody is in the apartment as Mrs. Grammer, not me..does she not know that she's destroying a family? She's destroying my family, my children. They're going to be just devastated without their dad."

In a final emotional scene that deals with the issue, Camille says: "I was reduced to basically nothing. I'm crying and begging him, please just reconsider...It was a very difficult decision for me to make to file for divorce ultimately but I had no other choice. He was already gone."
