Baby Lamb Quintuplets Born In Canada (VIDEO)

WATCH: Rare Baby Lamb Quintuplets Born

Last week, the MacPhee family found that their lamb, Cherry, had given birth to quintuplets -- five baby lambs.

Cherry’s got some powerful genes, as CNN reports that she was born a triplet herself, and has twice birthed triplets. The entire MacPhee family is pitching in to care for the baby lambs, and the kids hope to show the animals off at school when they’re older.

Lamb quintuplets are rare, and occur only in one to two percent of pregnancies. The ram who fathered the quintuplets has been renamed, “Stud Muffin.”

Four of the lambs are in good shape, but the fifth, a small, cow-patterned weakling, is under observation. The runt's health will be watched in the next few days, although the baby lamb does appear to have a good appetite.

Earlier this year, white lion cub triplets were born in Argentina and cow triplets were born in Arkansas.

If two’s company and three’s a crowd, then what's five?
