Steve Carell's Last 'The Office' Episode Extended To 50 Minutes

Steve Carell Getting Supersized 'The Office' Goodbye

Michael Scott is going out in style.

NBC has announced that Steve Carell's final episode of "The Office," set for April 28th, will be a supersized, 50-minute affair, lasting from 9:00-9:50 PM.

Carell is leaving the show after seven seasons, and his permanent replacement is still up in the air. Will Ferrell will guest star for four episodes as the new boss -- including two before Carell leaves, and one after. The season finale will boast five guest stars, one of whom may get the full time nod: Ricky Gervais and Will Arnett were announced earlier in the year, while Ray Romano, James Spader and Catherine Tate were announced last week. Of those five, only Spader and Tate have a real chance, given the other stars' commitments.

In addition to the extended "Office," NBC will also air a 40 minute "Parks and Recreation," which will go from 9:50 to 10:30. That will be followed by "30 Rock."

Carell will next be seen in the romantic comedy "Crazy, Stupid, Love."
