Hollywood heavyweights and the next generation of A-listers gathered at Club Nokia on May 20 for the 13th Annual Young Hollywood Awards. Sponsored by Bing, Cosmopolitan, and HP, the show recognized the achievements and outstanding performances by up-and-coming stars. Awards show veteran Jeff Bridges presented True Grit co-star Hailee Stanfield with the Breakthrough of the Year award, while director Francis Ford Coppola brought actress Elle Fanning to tears when he surprised her and presented her with the Actress of the Year award. Writer Aaron Sorkin presented The Social Network's Armie Hammer with the Star of Tomorrow award, reading a note from director David Fincher that said “Jesus Christ, they’re still giving out awards?!”
Other award winners included Camilla Bell (for Young Hollywood Style Icon), Garrett Hedlund (Film Actor of the Year), Aimee Teegarden (TV Actress of the Year), Jesse Williams (TV Actor of the Year), and Isabel Lucas (Female Star of Tomorrow).
Show highlights also included a performance by Pete Wentz's new band, The Black Cards, and a comedic speech by funny man Aziz Ansari. The awards show airs Thursday, May 26, on Ion. Check out photos of the show and a video of the stars talking about their favorite charities below!
