Michael Steele Becomes MSNBC Analyst

Michael Steele Gets A TV Deal

Michael Steele, the former head of the Republican National Committee, has signed a deal to become an analyst for MSNBC, the network announced Monday.

Steele has recently become a regular guest on the network; most notably, he has been having regular chats with Rachel Maddow. Steele also got into a lively argument with MSNBC's Ed Schultz on Bill Maher's show in April.

Steele had been rumored to be in discussions with both CNN and Fox News.

One person who seemingly wasn't so happy about Steele's new job? Keith Olbermann. The former MSNBC host wrote on Twitter, "Presented without comment: Michael Moore named contributor to @Current, Michael Steele named contributor to MSNBC."
