Carlos Slim Buys Townhouse For $15.5 Million: NY Post (PIC)

Carlos Slim just plunked down $15.5 million for the Felissimo Townhouse at 10 West 56th Street, according to the New York Post.

The world's richest man is reportedly the purchaser of the building, once owned by Elizabeth Taylor, though the seller's brokers declined to name the buyer. The Post cites "reliable sources" who confirm that it's Slim's place. A press release from Prudential Douglas Elliman's Retail Group simply describes the purchaser as "an off-shore, 'mystery' corporation that made an offer for the storied 11,700-square-foot, circa 1903 limestone mansion within 24 hours of inspection."

Curbed notes that Slim also bought the Duke Semans Mansion at 1009 Fifth Avenue for $44 million back in July of last year.
