Pierre Koenig And Gregory Ain Collaboration In Los Feliz

New to the market is this architectural collaboration listed at $1.9 million. Located on a private street in Los Feliz, this property comprises two buildings: a main house by Gregory Ain, and a guesthouse by Pierre Koenig. The 2,493-square-feet of living space comprises four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The quirky lap pool reflects Ain's influences: Rudolph Schindler and Richard Neutra. The Koenig guesthouse was one of the architect's last designs. Both Ain and Koenig attended the University of Southern California, although twenty-five years apart.

The home includes intriguing features such as "clerestory windows, sliding wall, bright open floor plan, and an indoor - outdoor flow," according to the listing. Julius Shulman photographed this property for his world-renowned portfolio--a collection which some say defined mid-century modern architecture.
