Jell-O is not just the main ingredient in questionable-looking coagulated salads, shots at fraternity parties and a pre-surgery meal. Jell-O's 158 products are also an artist's newest tool for creation. Designers and chefs alike are molding elaborate sculptures (gelatinous Jell-Obama anyone?) with the jiggly food.
Jell-O artisans can show off their products through some friendly competition. In partnership with the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, the Gowanus Studio Space recently hosted the third annual Jell-O Mold Competition. This year, high school students were included for the first time.
To understand what a Jell-O competition entails, watch the video below, from last year's challenge.
