NEW YORK (AP) -- Police say there's been another break-in at the "Late Show" theater in New York City just days after a man was charged with smashing its glass doors.
The NYPD says another man broke the window panes of the front entrance of the Ed Sullivan Theater at 1 a.m. Thursday. Police say the 42-year-old got as far as the vestibule before being detained by a security guard.
Police say the suspect used a metal newspaper dispenser to smash the glass panes.
He was taken to St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital for treatment of minor lacerations. Police say charges are pending.
In the other case on Sunday, James Whittemore broke into the closed theater where David Letterman tapes his television show.
His lawyer says Whittemore was drunk and didn't recall the incident.
