Artist And Savant Stephen Wiltshire Draws London Skyline From Memory (VIDEO)

WATCH: Savant Draws City From Memory In One Hour

Stephen Wiltshire is a well known architectural artist who was diagnosed with autism at a young age. Wiltshire is known for his ability to draw detailed landscapes or cityscapes after having seen them only once.

Born in London, England to West Indian parents in 1974, Wiltshire was mute until the age of 5, when he began using his drawings to communicate. He began drawing cityscapes at the age of eight and at the age of 10 drew a series he called "London Alphabet," which featured London landmarks after each letter of the alphabet.

Wiltshire attended the City and Guilds of London Art School between 1995 and 1998. In 2003, a major retrospective of his work was held in the Orleans House gallery. In 2005 he produced a 10 foot long panoramic of Tokyo within seven days of a short helicopter ride he took over the city. He has since drawn panoramic views of Rome, Hong Kong, Madrid, Frankfurt, Jerusalem, Dubai, London, and New York. When Wiltshire drew Rome he was able to draw the exact number of columns in the Pantheon.

See Wiltshire at work below, as he completes a complex drawing of London in an hour, after seeing it for only 15 minutes. See more of his work on his website, here.
