The UMS: Indie fans, call in sick, buy your passes, and spend the next four days in indie heaven, as 300-plus local and national artists descend upon 25 venues throughout South Broadway for the 11th annual Underground Music Showcase.

Beer, Bikes & Big Wheels: There's no better excuse to bike around Denver than the Urban Assault Ride -- a crazy scavenger hunt involving random obstacle courses, followed by a colossal celebration hosted by New Belgium Brewing Co. Online registration ends Friday, and Saturday is the last day to sign up and pick up a packet in person; teams consist of two people.

Bandimere Speedway: If you're feeling the need for speed, live vicariously for three days through the drivers of the Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals at Bandimere. Part of the Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, drivers will participate in Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle categories.
