Mark-Paul Gosselaar: I Smoked Pot With My Mom

Mark-Paul Gosselaar Smoked Pot With Mom

Mark-Paul Gosselaar is no pothead, but that doesn’t mean hasn’t toked up with his parents in the past.

The former “Saved By the Bell” star stopped by “Lopez Tonight” to chat with George Lopez and revealed that he and his family enjoyed some herbal refreshments while in Holland.

“When we were in Holland, in Amsterdam, [it’s like a] ‘when in Rome’ kind of thing,” he said, referring to the country’s looser marijuana laws. “You just go to a hash bar.”

“The last time I was in Amsterdam with my parents, I was 18, and I was with my mother, and we got high together,” he said. “She’ll deny it. She'll totally deny it, but she got f***ed up.”

But don’t think Gosselaar started lighting up all the time.

“I didn’t abuse it, because I’m not a pothead. I didn’t think it was significant,” he said. “If I was a pothead, and really into weed, getting high with my parents would be the most monumental thing of my life,” adding that he just didn’t think it was big deal at all at the time.

But scoring some weed isn’t even on Gosselaar’s radar these days. The father of two, who recently divorced his wife of 15 years, was spotted catching some waves over the weekend with his son, Michael, in Dana Point, California.

And now the actor has something to really celebrate. His TNT show, “Franklin and Bash” was just picked up for a second season.
