Beyonce Gushes About Gwyneth Paltrow: 'She Is What I Strive To Be One Day'

Beyonce & Gwyneth: BFFAE

There is no denying that Beyonce is back. Not that she went anywhere to begin with, but she is back in the spotlight, gracing the covers of magazines and being the hypnotic superstar that she is. Following the release of her latest album, 4, and her incredible performance at the Glastonbury Festival earlier this summer, she is back on top.

The “Best Thing I Never Had” singer hit the stage at Glastonbury, where she was the first female to headline the event in its history, and wowed the crowd. Her performance was talked about for days following and she received rave reviews from her ever so supportive husband, Jay-Z and her good pal Gwyneth Paltrow, who watched the performance from the side of the stage. These two ladies struck up a friendship a few years ago and have been a source of support for one another since.

Beyonce is stunning on the cover of the September issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK and takes a little time to tip her hat to her good friend Gwyneth. The 29-year-old star opens up about her approaching thirtieth birthday, and how she is in a transitional state as a person, but is excited about the opportunity for change and growth. During the interview, Beyonce dishes how she hopes to one day be like Paltrow. “She is what I strive to be one day,” she said. “You go to her house and she makes you feel like you never want to go home.”

The feeling is completely mutual. Paltrow has done her fair share of gushing over her superstar BFF as well. “No one else can sing and dance like that, while having humour and genuine bursting sweetness,” she said about Beyonce. During Paltrow’s own interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK back in January, she gave Beyonce the ultimate compliment, saying she “is the most talented human being on the planet.”

When Paltrow exploded back on to the scene this past year with a number of musical roles, the film “Country Strong,” her reoccurring guest spot on “Glee” and her Grammy Award show performance of “Forget You” with Cee Lo Green, she channeled her pal to perfect her craft. The mother of two credits Beyonce with some of her success. “I studied B. She was my homework.”
