Somalia Famine: Clinton Calls On Al-Shabaab To Allow Aid

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Thursday called on Somalia's al-Shabaab militants to allow food aid to move "unfettered" into famine-hit areas so that as many lives as possible can be saved.

Clinton also announced that a senior team including Jill Biden, the wife of Vice President Joe Biden, and U.S. Agency for International Development chief Rajiv Shah would travel to Kenya this weekend to assess the situation.
