C.J. Johnson Held Back By Fan: Georgia Force Kick Returner Stalled During Arena Football Game (VIDEO)

Fan 'Tackles' One For Team

Maybe now the Arena Football League will consider moving the fans a little further back from the field.

C.J. Johnson of the Georgia Force was about to return a kick in the American Conference Championship Game against the Georgia Force on Monday night, but something was holding him back.

A Jacksonville fan had reached over the wall, grabbed Johnson by the helmet and prevented him from returning the kick. Johnson immediately threw his hands up in frustration while some of the Sharks players gave the fan high-fives. The referees ruled that the Force would get the ball on the 20-yard line and ejected the fan.

The Force went on to win the game 64-55 to clinch a berth in ArenaBowl XXIV.

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story had the teams mixed up. The mistake has been corrected: Georgia's C.J. Johnson was held back by a Sharks fan.
