Weekend Agenda: Vintage Vamp, Blues & Brews, Rob Schneider

An evening of vampish vintage fun, an afternoon of blues and brews, and zany improv fun fill the weekend. Here’s what’s going on this weekend in Denver.

Frolic & Vamp: Let the fringe brush your knees as you make your way to the Tennyson Art and Business District for a throwback evening to the ‘20s and ‘30s. Vintage cocktails and fashion will accompany the same genre of entertainment -- including Denver’s own burlesque royalty Vivienne VaVoom.

SuperBaby: A pinch of Scooby Doo and a dab of Eminem, plus a whole lot of improv – that’s the freestyle rap group SuperBaby. This weekend kicks off their Lyrical Mystery Tour Show at Bovine.

Blues & Brews: Pair melancholy tunes with frothy suds at Pearl Street’s all-day Blues & Brews Music Festival. Begin the afternoon with Felonius Smith at 12:30pm and catch the final performance with Marcia Ball at 8:45pm.

AIDS Walk: Join thousands of others on this annual walk to remember and honor those affected by HIV/AIDS as well as fundraise for numerous services including Colorado AIDS Project. A beer garden, speakers and an afternoon volleyball tourney are also on the agenda.

Rob Schneider & Greg Proops: Duece Bigalow has made it to Denver for a two night stand-up appearance at South at the Landmark. Head to Larimer for a performance by Greg Proops, best known for “Whose Line is it Anyway?” and “Chelsea Lately.”

I Fight Dragons: Down a handful of coffee beans and come ready for a madcap evening as I Fight Dragons plays at the Bluebird. And yeah, they really are playing those controllers up there. Bop Skizzum and A Million Pieces also perform.
