Mitch McGary Shatters Backboard: High School Phenom Has Thunderous Dunk In Elite 24 Game (VIDEO)

NCAA backboards be warned, Mitch McGary will be terrorizing you soon.

McGary, the fourth best high school basketball prospect in the nation according to Rivals.com, created a lot of buzz and a huge mess at the Boost Mobile Elite 24 game when he demolished a backboard while dunking during warm ups.

The 6'10", 250 pound center, who is considering offers from Kentucky, Duke and North Carolina among others, had to leave the court in an ambulance as a result of cuts sustained from shattered glass, but returned soon after to watch the game.

"They gave me a nickname 'White Chocolate' a couple of days ago because I'm the only white kid here," McGary told ESPN. "But I guess they can call me 'White Thunder' now because I broke down the backboard."

We aren't sure whether the nickname will stick, but if McGary is able to keep throwing it down like that on the college level, he may have a new distinction: First overall pick.
