If you've been waiting for the chance to sass up your stationery, then today is your lucky day.
Acco Brands are launching an updated version of an office staple - the paperclip.
The new clips are colorful, but come with a (comparatively) hefty price tag. While a basic paperclip sells for around a penny per clip the new one, dubbed 'Clix, will retail for about 16 times that price.
So will consumers ante up for the new clip? The former president of ACCO Desmond LaPlace has his doubts, telling the Wall Street Journal:
"If there is ultimately a commodity product, it's paper clips,."
