'24 Hours Of Reality' Project: The Fat Lady Has Sung About Climate Change (VIDEO)

WATCH: The Fat Lady Has Sung About Climate Change

Well, the fat lady has sung. And the song isn't pretty.

Despite what some politicians would have the public believe, there is a scientific consensus that climate change is happening and it's going to get a lot worse.

Even GOP presidential candidate Jon Huntsman said in the most recent debate, "When you make comments that fly in the face of what 98 out of 100 climate scientists have said ... we can't run from science."

To spread the word about the realities of the climate crisis, Al Gore recently launched the Climate Reality Project. The group has released two videos in anticipation of their upcoming event, "24 Hours Of Reality."

"24 Hours of Reality" is a global event that will feature 24 presenters in 24 time zones, who "will connect the dots between recent extreme weather events — including floods, droughts and storms — and the manmade pollution that is changing our climate."

The quick, quirky videos below were produced by "M ss ing P eces" in conjunction with the Glover Park Group and Alex Bogusky at Fearless Cottage. The project describes the ads, stating, "The message is simple: The climate crisis is not a debate. It’s a Reality. And the time to take action is not the future – it’s right now. Because the fat lady has sung and the *#!? is hitting the fan."

Watch the "24 Hours of Reality" broadcast live online from September 14 to 15. Click here to find the location where you would like to watch a presentation.
