North Korea 63rd Anniversary Marked With Massive Indoor Rally (VIDEO)

WATCH: North Korea Marks 63rd Anniversary With Massive Rally

North Korea marked the 63rd anniversary of its founding with a celebratory, if solemn-looking, indoor rally.

As Reuters is reporting, a senior cabinet official took the opportunity to accuse the U.S. and South Korea of behind smear campaigns toward the isolated nation.

Noticeably absent from the rally were North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il and his son, Kim Jong Un, who is believed to be the nation's heir. During a much-publicized trip to Russia lat month, the leader reportedly said he is committed to a nuclear-free nation.
