Naomi Watts was only with Heath Ledger for a couple of years, but she calls him "completely full of joy." In the October issue of More magazine, the normally reticent actress opens up about her past flame and fellow Australian -- who was nine years her junior -- saying "there was a lot of laughing and affection. He was really a very special soul and made a great impact in my life... It's a tragedy for his little daughter."
Their relationship ended amicably, according to reports, in 2003; Ledger passed away in 2008 from an accidental prescription drug overdose.
Naomi speaks candidly about a number of other personal life details too, most notably on her relationship with longtime boyfriend Liev Schreiber and their two children together, with whom she's often spotted romping around with outdoors. Any concern about where the once-ubiquitous actress may have retreated to in Hollywood can be explained by the duo's growing family and a certain sense of career accomplishment. Naomi, 42, tells the publication that she's glad to have waited on motherhood. "I think I'm a better parent. I had a lot I wanted to do when I was younger, and perhaps I wouldn't have been as focused; I got a lot out of the way in terms of my own dreams."
