Folsom Street Fair Draws Thousands In 28th Year (PHOTOS)

There may not have been sun. But there was enough skin to make a nude beach-goer blush.

On Sunday, 700 volunteers and thousands of participants and spectators braved the mist and low temps for the 28th annual Folsom Street Fair: SF's celebration of latex and leather, expression and celebration, and alternative sexual lifestyles.

San Franciscans pulled out the glitter and threw out the inhibitions to join SF's most famous personalities for the street party -- one of the city's most beloved for nearly three decades, proving that kink is king in the Bay Area. Visitors sipped morning cocktails and lined up for bondage shows, drag performances, live bands and BDSM demonstrations, all in the name of sexual liberation. Meanwhile, vendors sold corsets, bondage gear and sexual paraphernalia for every taste and fetish, reminding us why we love San Francisco.
