Between the appearance on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" and the much-adored performance at Outside Lands, Oakland-based tUnE-yArDs had already generated plenty of buzz over the band's latest hit, "Gangsta."
But it was only a matter of time before an equally lauded music video was released.
The music video, a black-and-white Butoh-style short directed by frontwoman Merril Garbus, features behind-the-scenes footage from the tour, lyrical dancing and urban scenes that beautifully capture the song's sentiment. Lovers of the group's "Bizness" music video may miss the color and playfulness, but we think the new direction fits the more grating "Gangsta" perfectly.
