Jennifer Aniston On Directorial Debut, 'Five': A 'Dream Come True'

Jennifer Aniston reveled in a dream come true on Monday night. And it did not involve questions about Brad Pitt, thank you very much.

The actress was premiering the Lifetime movie "Five," an array of interconnected short films about breast cancer. Aniston directed one of the films, a piece that features Patricia Clarkson as a cancer patient and Jeanne Tripplehorn as the oncologist who treats patients in all five pieces. Getting behind the camera was a true delight, Aniston said.

“It was like a dream come true, honestly, and such an important piece that we all were invested in,” she told Access Hollywood. “It was like working with, not only our best friends, but they’re also incredible producers, and all of us coming together. We just can’t believe that we’re actually here. It’s amazing.”

The film also featured stars such as Ginnifer Goodwin, Rosario Dawson, Lyndsy Fonseca, Jennifer Morrison, Bob Newhart and Josh Holloway in other segments directed by Demi Moore, Alicia Keys, Patty Jenkins and Penelope Spheeris.

Unsurprisingly, when asked about the "scandal" in which Aniston found herself unwillingly embroiled after her ex-husband's comments about their marriage, she wasn't very interested in talking about the situation.

"Oh lord, it’s not even worth discussing on a night like this,” she said.
