A 53-year-old US Airways passenger was arrested after his flight to Daytona Beach landed on Monday night for disorderly intoxication.
Mubashar Choudry was drinking on the flight from Charlotte, according to WESH.com Orlando.
Choudry first started talking to his female seatmate about where to eat and things to do in Daytona Beach reports WKMG Orlando. He then "got loud" and "started telling her what sexual-type things he wanted to do with her," according to the local station.
When Choudry's seatmate became uncomfortable, she told him she didn't want to speak with him anymore, to which he replied "(Expletive) you!" Choudry's fellow passengers got similarly freaked out and flight crew members had to move several passengers to new seats farther from Choudry.
WKMG reports that flight crew alerted air traffic control, who requested a law enforcement presence upon landing. Choudry was charged with disorderly intoxication upon landing in Daytona Beach.
There have been, it seems, numerous accounts of drunk passengers on planes lately. In June, a drunk Jetstar passenger peed in the plane's aisle. On August 23rd, an intoxicated British Airways passenger flying from Phoenix to London threatened to stab crew members. Later that same month, a London-bound bmi flight was forced to return to Moscow after a passenger started performing an exotic dance. In September, a drunk Virgin Atlantic passenger assaulted a male flight member by demanding sex.
