First Lady duties include lots of public speaking, smiling and shaking hands. But giving manicures? That's a new one.
Samantha Cameron added beautician to her resume when she participated in a "pamper day" for Contact a Family, a UK charity for families with disabled children. Wearing a casual striped tee, the British PM's wife cracked open some polish and treated the charity's recipients to some manis.
The cause, writes the Daily Mail, is close to Cameron's heart, as she and David lost their son Ivan, who suffered from cerebral palsy and severe epilepsy, in 2009 when he was just six years old.
The British First Lady said in a statement, "I speak from personal experience when highlighting how essential it is for any parent with a disabled child to have a break from daily care and to share their experiences with other parents in the same situation."
