Injury-Hobbled Redskins Routed By Bills In Canada (PHOTOS)

The injury-hobbled Washington Redskins were shutout by the Buffalo Bills Sunday in Toronto 23-0. The Washington Post's Mike Jones and Rick Maese declare that eight weeks in, the "promising start to the Redskins' season is now officially gone."

The Washington Times' Rich Campbell says the Redskins are "a total mess," and notes that a "lifeless Washington offense surrendered nine sacks and gained only 178 yards in one of the franchise's ugliest games in recent memory."

The game was the first since a Dec. 27, 2009, 17-0 loss to the Dallas Cowboys where the Redskins failed to score any points and the first shutout for Mike Shanahan as coach. "It's pretty humbling to take that," Shanahan said.

The Redskins injury list is getting long and is reading "like an encyclopedia," SB Nation writes.
