Thousands of protesters have gathered on Sunday in D.C. to fight the Keystone XL pipeline. Their plan is to surround the White House and hold hands, asking President Obama to reject the proposed pipeline.

Obama said in an interview last week that he will be deciding on the pipeline's permit. The pipeline would travel from Canada to the U.S. Gulf Coast.

Critics argue there are multiple environmental and health risks if the pipeline is permitted, while supporters claim jobs and energy independence would be boosted with the pipeline.
