Amazing Teens: 12 Students Who Are Breaking Barriers

We read a lot of teen news here at HuffPost High School, and over the past month we've come across so many inspiring stories of real teens from across the country doing some seriously amazing things. For example, there's16-year-old pilot JT Sanchez, who just took his first solo trip, and Sami Stoner, a blind cross-country runner who competes with the help of her guide dog, Chloe. There have been homecoming kings, unbelievable athletes, and selfless do-gooders. The one thing they all have in common? They dream big and they don't let anything or anyone stand in their way.

Check out our list of 12 super-teens who are breaking barriers, setting records, and being all-around awesome in the world. Have you (or has someone you know) done something amazing in your community? Email us at highschool@huffingtonpost.com or tweet @HuffPostHigh and tell us about it!
