Elizabeth Warren And Tammy Baldwin Hosting Joint Fundraiser In Philadelphia

Elizabeth Warren And Tammy Baldwin Team Up

WASHINGTON -- On Monday, Massachusetts U.S. Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren will be teaming up with fellow Senate candidate Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.) for a joint fundraiser in Philadelphia.

Tickets for the luncheon reception start at $250 and go up to $10,000, according to a copy of the invitation acquired by The Huffington Post.

The event is being hosted by Peter Buttenwieser, a top Democratic donor who helped raise more than $500,000 for the Obama campaign in 2008.

"I feel honored to have two such bright, principled, exceptional women join us on November 21st. It means a lot to our community. It will 'grow' us," wrote Buttenwieser in the invitation.

"Both women have fought for the middle class and those at least advantage. If Tammy Baldwin is elected in Wisconsin, she will be the first openly gay Senator ever to serve in the United States Senate. This would entail making history at its very best."

Baldwin and Warren are two of the most high-profile Democratic candidates in the 2012 cycle, and both are favorites of progressives. They recently set up a joint fundraising committee called the Massachusetts Wisconsin Victory Fund.

On Dec. 9, Warren is also co-hosting a fundraiser with Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.) in Washington state. A consultant for Cantwell called the two a "natural fit" given their work fighting for tougher financial regulations.
