NYPD Seek Three Men In Brutal L Train Beating (VIDEO)

The NYPD is searching for three men seen in a video brutally beating a man on the L train after he scolded them for spitting. The incident happened on November 2nd at around 2am on a Brooklyn-bound train near the Myrtle-Wyckoff stop in Ridgewood, Queens, according to ABC 7.

The footage was uploaded to World Star Hiphop and is doubly disturbing because the women recording the fight can be heard laughing and commenting in the background.

Gothamist aptly groans, "[WorldStarHipHop]'s popularity has created a sort of voyeuristic feedback loop, in which disassociated bystanders immediately videotape violent incidents and act as if they're already watching a video on the Internet." At the 50 second mark, one of the women yells, "World Star baby!"

The victim fights back but is outnumbered and is repeatedly kicked in the head. After the altercation, the assailants run away and disoriented, the man sits down in an empty car, all the bystanders having left. No word yet as to the extent of his injuries.

Police ask that anyone with any information regarding the fight call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
