Santa Burglar: Ranaldo Jack Stuck In Chimney And Arrested

'I'm Stupid': Santa Burglar Tries To Explain Getting Stuck In Chimney

Had Tsehainesh Kidane been expecting a visitor through her chimney, she might have slung stockings from the fireplace and left out some milk and cookies.

Then again, it is a bit early in the holiday season.

A would-be burglar spent nearly 10 hours stuck in a woman's chimney before authorities both rescued and arrested him, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Ranaldo Jack, 17, attempted his bad Santa ploy around 3 a.m. on Tuesday. A neighbor heard his voice around one o'clock that afternoon.

"He said, 'Help me! Help me!'" Edyn Rodriguez told CBS 2 Action News. "Man, never in my life … I called 911."

Another neighbor reportedly asked Jack what he was doing in the chimney, to which the teen allegedly replied, "I'm stupid," according to WGCL-TV.

Authorities retrieved Jack, who emerged covered in filth.

Police charged Jack with burglary and providing false information to a police officer.
