Egypt entered a fourth day of massive protests on Tuesday, as demonstrators demanded the resignation of the country's military rulers. Clashes between protesters and security forces continued in the streets around Cairo's Tahrir Square, as well as in the coastal city of Alexandria.
Egypt's military rulers announced on Tuesday they accept the resignation of the country's cabinet, and agree to transfer power to a civilian government by mid-2012.
Egypt is expected to hold scheduled elections next Monday.
